Tan LA Tanning Salon UV Tanning TipsWe have some special tanning tips to optimize the quality of your tan and for longer lasting color.

Lotions

When you begin tanning we recommend using a step one maximizer to help build a rich, golden-brown tan. Our top of the line maximizers feature. Vitatan’s bio-engineering tanning technology with advanced DNA enzymes to help develop a base tan while hydrating your skin with the finest anti-aging ingredients.

When you are unable to get any darker we recommend step two intensifiers to help break through this tanning plateau. Many of these contain CUO2 intensifying complex for rich hydration. Many also contain antioxidants to help fight the signs of aging.

Step 3 products moisture the skin, preventing peeling and flaking. Finalizers replenish natural hydration, fight the signs of aging and prolong the life of your tan.

Nude Tanning

Many people enjoy tanning nude at their local tanning salon. It’s a great way to avoid tan lines and get a full body tan. Moreover, it’s really easy in the privacy of your own tanning bed. Also, you don’t have to worry about bringing a swimsuit to the tanning salon. Should you tan nude, please pay extra attention to those areas not accustomed to sunlight. For the first 6 sessions, these areas should be covered for half the session until you acquire a base tan.

Medications

Some prescription drugs, like antibiotics, contraceptives, and others can make you sensitive to ultra-violet light. Please consult with your tanning consultant or pharmacist if you have questions.

Eye protection

The eyelid is the thinnest membrane of the body. You must use goggles to shield your eyes from the UV light emitted by any tanning bed. Our goggles are FDA compliant and shield 99.9% of UV light.

Contact Lenses

We recommend removing your contact lenses before your tanning sessions. If you are unable to remove them then we recommend moisture drops to keep them from drying out.

Lips

Lips have no melanin and will never develop a tan. They can dry out in the sun or in tanning beds. Keep them moist with lip balm. We’ll have some available should you need any.
