What is a Cryotherapy Facial?
The Cryotherapy facial is a non-invasive, pain-free treatment to gain younger-looking and healthy skin. The skin is rapidly cooled, using a beam of vaporized liquid nitrogen, to well below freezing in a matter of minutes using a revolutionary ‘cryo-probe’.
How does the Cryotherapy Facial work?
The entire process takes only 12 minutes. A trained technician circulates the vaporized liquid nitrogen around the face, neck, and scalp. This leads to a tightening of the microcirculation blood stream, known as vasoconstriction, and then dilation of blood vessels and capillaries which helps to flush toxins and impurities away from the skin. The process works to contract the skin and accelerate microcirculation which supports better oxygenation of dermal cells, encourages collagen production and helps to detox and rejuvenate the skin.
Is it comfortable? What will I feel?
The calming and relaxing red light at 633 nano-metres penetrates the skin to a depth of 8-10mm which then increases circulation by the formulation of new capillaries. These new capillaries then speed up the healing process skin tissue, leading to a softening of fine damaged skin. The light rays stimulate the production of collagen, a protein with a high elasticity level that is used to repair damaged tissue.
How regularly should I have treatment?
Just one time makes a difference but for best results it is recommended to go 3-5 time in the first two weeks, after that after that maintenance is only 2-4 times a month.
Is nitrogen dangerous to humans?
No. The air we breathe is composed of 16% Oxygen, 1% Hydrogen, 78% Nitrogen and 5% of other components. Nitrogen is a non-toxic gas.
